Thanks for the feedback! My greyhounds were rescued from race track breeders. Most racing greyhounds are crated most of the time while they are in racing. http://www.greyhounds.org Once they are off the track, they are very pretty mellow for the most part. Adoption groups call them 50 mile an hour couch potatoes. I have heard that greyhounds, born and raised away from the tracks are quite different and high strung. Just a couple words of warning. I don't know how long you've had yours, but if you haven't had them through a winter yet, they have no body fat, so the are very susceptible to cold and can go hypothermic quite easily. The other thing is that they are sighthounds, and they are also prone to chase, cats rabbits, birds, etc, so be careful with them around your other animals. Greyhounds from the track have to be tested before they are adopted out, to see if they are "cat safe." Some trainers use live animals to train racers. They often are let to run them down and kill them. That's why they chase an electronic lure around the track. Then those dogs are not safe around other small pets.... sorry for the rant. I just loved my GH's. What did you mean about the Highland bulls shouldn't be alone? Do they tend to get antsy and want out to be with the other bovine? As far as the sustainable stuff.. this is my favorite: http://www.farmtek.com/farm/supplies/VideoPopupVie- w?showHeader=Y&video=110846 Turns 8 pounds of grain into 40 pounds of food with just water, in 8 days. It's easier to digest and is higher in nutrients and much less waste. Look it up on you tube. Poultry love it too! Thanks again.Come visit me, K&B Ranch.

Welcome! I noticed you have greyhounds! Awesome! They are the best. I really miss mine. When I first got them home, they seemed so appreciative, as if they knew they were rescued. They were the truest friends I ever had. After I get some property and get settled, I really want to adopt a couple more. What breeds of heritage livestock are you raising? I'm interested in giving bees a try too.Come visit me, K&B Ranch.
