Really like my piggys:) my Mangalitsa gilts are the cutest:) And my reg. Berkshire are awesome:) very happy with my choices of breeds:):) The Guinea hogs are the sweetest little piggys:) these pigs can roam on pasture and are all very happy and very spoiled:) great farming to all:):)Come visit me, Rockymountainlicious.

Picking up some mangalitsas,3 gilts,to go with my little herd. I will get a breeding pair later this summer..so now we have american guinea hogs, berkshires and some tamworth and some mangalitsa:) maybe a couple of prebred durocs girls, to add to this bunch:) happy farming:)Come visit me, Rockymountainlicious.

Also would barley,oats,wheat,rye grass,would that make a good winter food for my pigs:) tring to get away from GMOs, that mix with alfala, should be ok for feeding??Come visit me, Rockymountainlicious.

Thank God that our son's 1st gilt was a red waddle mix. When it came to AI(ing) her and then 114 days later P2 (son, who was 9 at the time) was in the shelter with her helping deliver 15 babies. Was an experiance that no one else can have in there swine book from our parish.
Now will I let him be in she shelter when his PB Hereford gilt give birth the 1st time...NO.... only when it freezes down under I will. She was VERY aggressive at the gate when son and the vet was given shots and casturating the males out of Ruby's litter and stayed that way until we sold the babies.Come visit me, The Homestead.

If a 9 yr old and a mom reading the direction from the back can do it so can you.
Most important is to know when they are in standing heat and the fresher the semen the better off you will be.

I did another pig run,,besides my American guinea hogs, I pick-up 5 hampshire mom and duroc dad gilts:) Does anyone AI their pigs????can you email me and can I ask ?s about doing AI,,or will I just need to get boar and do things the old fashion way?????
