Farm Name: Carrowmore Farm
Year Farm Established: 2011
Years I’ve been farming: 2 years old
Animals I raise: We are not currently raising any livestock but have an interest in heritage breeds. We have 2 Nigerian Dwarf does that we plan on breeding and will be acquiring some laying hens (Buckeye, Dominique) very soon. We also have plans in the works for a small free-range broiler operation. Additionally we have 2 retired polo horses and 2 Shetland ponies.
Crops I grow: We have an interest in permaculture and are in the process of establishing a small orchard. We are also planting many native trees and plants whilst removing as many invasive plants as we can.
Hobbies I enjoy: Hobby farming, riding horses, dog training, 4H, photography.
Club/Associations memberships: American Livestock Breeds Conservancy
Pets: We have a Labrador Retriever and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi with which we do obedience and agility training. We also happily provide shelter for 2 'official' barn cats and a few others that come and go as they please.
Farm Motto: Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. -Albert Einstein
