Hello, We are pretty close. I am in Parkersburg, WV. However, My cattle are in Lowell, OH. What kind of cattle are those in your profile picture? I will be moving my cows from Lowell back to my small hobby farm in P-BURG. Looking for a smaller breed for smaller acreage.

  New Beginning
I'm trying to start a farm and hopefully make it a living. I'm currently raising beef cattle started with red polled Hereford. I haven't turned any profit yet but I understand patience is a key factor. So I'm looking for more ways while I wait for my cattle to be ready for selling. I want to be more productive and make money so anyone that can help and give ideas it would be appreciated thanks

We started off with Land/York cross but soon rain into sunburn problems out in the field. Moved onto 3/4 red waddle and 1/4 hamp, but grew too slow however exterme lean meat with a high omega 3 in the meat. Came across a land/york/hamp and been with them for a yr now. Will have a litter in March if all goes well off son's red hog Coke. Amy the red belt won't be breed until April for 4H/FFA show seaon.

Hello, and thank you for the warm welcomes!
To The Homestead- right now we are just buying feeder pigs to fatten out for our customers, however, we really would like to find a gilt to raise and breed. We've been doing our homework on a few breeds, but we just haven't decided on one yet. You have a lot of great pics on our page!
