Pumpkin for chickens Hi Homestead! Thanks for the comment. The pumpkin we put in the back yard and hammered it till it was good and open. Took the chickens 3-4 days for them to eat all the seeds and slime. After we did it I learned it was a great way to deworm chickens. Took them a while, but the demolished it!Come visit me, Crazy 'Bout Eggs.

How long did it take for your crew to eat seeds from the pumpkins? Our son has to go out there and peck with his fingers at the seeds before the newbies decide they want to give it a try.Come visit me, The Homestead.
