Years I’ve been farming: 3 years

Animals I raise: Chickens for meat and eggs. Planning on adding dairy goats and horses in the near future.

Crops I grow: Family Vegetable Garden - tomatoes, cucumbers, varieties of squash, green beans, peas, pumpkins, variety of peppers and others

Hobbies I enjoy: Our chickens, sewing, crocheting, gardening reading, writing and doll making.

Club/Associations memberships: None yet!

The proudest moment on my farm: The day our hens laid their first egg!

Pets: 2 Golden Retrievers, Abby (7) and Jake (6)

  Red Lamp
The red lamp is the only one I have ever used. It was what was available when I needed it. My Dad has been raising chickens for about 65 years and he swears by a white light. Guess it's just a matter of what you are used to.
