Farm Name: Graidie Hill Farm Kunekune

Year Farm Established: 2012

Location: Center Conway, NH

Years I’ve been farming: 2 years

Animals I raise: Kunekune pigs, a rare compact grazing pig. These pigs are docile, and small in size maxing out at 250lb at two years of age. Many are enjoying this easy to manage pig as a pet. Though like all livestock they need a purpose. Kunekunes make great orchard mowers as they don't root or disturb trees. They are known to produce very flavorful marbled pork. A kunekunes main diet is grass or hay with very little grain needed. This keeps the cost to raise them very minimal. They make a great pig for any small hobby farm, or 4 H project.

Crops I grow: Vegetables of all kinds. Nothing like Fresh Peaches off the tree.

Hobbies I enjoy: Painting, Sewing, knitting

Club/Associations memberships: American Kunekune Breeder association

American Kunekune Pig Society

The proudest moment on my farm: We take pride in treating each one of our animals with love and compassion. It shows when you arrive at our farm and they all come running excited to greet you. Doesn't get any better than that!

Pets: 2 Dogs, 2 Cats...although I consider all my breeding animals pets too.

Farm Motto: Stay calm at Graidie Hill Farm. Farming is therapy. www.graidiehill- farm.com
