The proudest moment on my farm: This dream of a farm was created in my father's eyes in the early 1992 when the he purchased an overgrown field that was once used by a dairy farmer who was long gone. Our family had different ideas of what to do with this land and the building and remains that were found on the property. Since 2000 it has been used as a mini farm but not to its greatest potential. It was not until mid 2000 that animal raising was brought to the farm. Then we decided, under the reluctance of some of the family, to start raising goats for competition in shows and as a meat producing animal. We produce traditional and nontraditional Boer Goats in the South African as well as the New Zealand style. We started on our learning and handling of Boer goats around 2008.
