Rosemary and lemon grass infusion is a natural insect repellant. I use it to rid children of headlice. My dogs fleas and cats mites and fleas. It should work as well on horses to rid them of flies.

Using listerine mouthwash on horses helps with rain rot. This is a skin condition which occurs when horses are in pasture with pine trees for shelter or just shade. the sap drips on the horses and causes hair to fall out. Listerine helps heal these places.
