Put your mismatched dishware or yard-sale finds back into service as a tiered serving tray. To get started, choose plates in three sizes and two old candlesticks, cups or other vertical items to serve as the elevation columns.

Stack your plates with the largest on bottom and the smallest on top, and place your vertical elements inbetween. Once you have configured the tray to your liking, wipe each surface with alcohol and let dry. Glue the pieces in place with a high-performance, waterproof glue, and allow to cure overnight.

At your next farmstead gathering, use your tray to present cookies, biscuits, scones or muffins. This craft is even great to use as centerpieces at wedding-reception tables. Instead of using dishes of multiple colors, use differently designed dishes in one color, such white or a pastel.
