If you know a midwestern woman involved in agriculture listen up!

The Purdue University Women in Agriculture team is accepting nominations for two awards:

1) The Achievement Award, which recognizes women involved with production agriculture on their farms or agribusiness or those who have started a business related to agriculture.

2) The Leadership Award, which recognizes women who have roles in agriculture leadership, advocacy for the industry or influence on agriculture policy.

The deadline: submit your nomination application by June 2. Each nominee can be considered for only one category.

Award winners will be presented with a gift in honor of their contributions and free registration to the next Midwest Women in Agriculture conference set for February 2009.

Awards will be presented August 15 during Purdue Day at the Indiana State Fair.

Both awards are sponsored by the Purdue Extension's Women in Agriculture team.
