What is a Cooperative Extension
The Cooperative Extension Program is a nationwide, non-credit educational network.
“Extension” means “reaching out,” and—along with teaching and research—the nation's more than 100 land-grant colleges and universities “extend” their resources, solving public needs with college or university resources through non-formal, non-credit programs.

Cooperative extension offices are staffed by one or more experts who provide useful, practical, and research-based information to agricultural producers, small business owners, youth, consumers, and others in rural areas and communities of all sizes.

Your cooperative extension service is invaluable and underutilized. They are also in danger from lack of funding! Please utilize all they have to offer and let friends and family know how helpful they are to you. It is the only thing that will keep them available to you.
