Flower arrangements make a bright and thoughtful gift on Mother’s Day (or any day), especially when the flowers come fresh-picked from your own farm. Creating a bouquet that will delight its recipient is simple.

First, go out to the pasture or garden to collect your favorite flowers. Remove the leaves from the stems, and choose a flower that will serve as the center of the bouquet. Build your bouquet around that flower, keeping in mind color, type of flower and your visual preferences. Finish off the flower arrangement by securing the stems with a zip tie and snipping them to fit your vase.

Arranging a hand-tied bouquet is easy and will allow you to put your creativity to work. Watch the video above for a step-by-step demonstration, and get started.
