Pickles and pickling spice

Yield: 1/4 cup

Ingredients

  • 2 cinnamon sticks, broken
  • 1 T. mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp. whole cloves
  • 1 tsp. whole allspice
  • 1 tsp. juniper berries
  • 1 tsp. crumbled whole mace
  • 2 tsp. black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp. dill seeds
  • 4 dried bay leaves
  • 1 small piece dried ginger

Preparation
Combine all ingredients. Store in airtight jar up to 2 months.
