For the past three weeks, I've been blogging fun stuff about donkeys, but here's a serious topic. Lots of donkeys need good homes, and you could adopt one if you like.
Photo by Audrey Pavia This little thing will be all grown up soon, and I can’t wait to watch the process. My chicks are now almost 2 weeks old, and I can’t believe how fast they have grown. A day of so after hatching, the smallest one couldn’t jump 2 inches from the outside pen […]

Donkeys are famous! At least some of them are. Here are some noteworthy donkeys you might or might not have heard of. If you can think of others, please leave a comment. Our donkey, Ishtar, wants to know!

I've been thinking about the many things I've blogged about, and I haven't talked much about donkeys! This blog is for Abigail, who wanted to know more about having lambs. I said I'd blog about it when our next lamb arrived, and he's here!

This blog is for Kendra, who asked for more information about llamas and alpacas and for the rest of you who might want some of your own. You can adopt your llamas and alpacas.

Last week, we talked about where llamas and alpacas came from. According to the International Lama Registry there are 163,131 llamas in the United States and the Alpaca Registry says there are 167,802 alpacas, too. Lamas are popular nowadays!

Do you have llamas or alpacas on your farm? We do! Our llama is a pretty, spotted male named Bandit. He likes horses and lives with our granny Standardbred, Maire. They are good friends.
