Bill Strubbe

Peace activist, world traveler and dreamer of peace Bill Strubbe has been gardening since the age of 8 and helped establish the first community garden—still lush and thriving 46 years later—in his home town of Palo Alto, Calif. Since then he has planted gardens everywhere he has lived and currently resides in Israel on a kibbutz, where he’s helping create a communal vegetable garden.
