The Danburg family in Houston, Texas, got two baby goats the Friday before Father’s Day. Since getting the kids, which the family named Show and Case, Jennifer Danburg bottle-fed them milk every four hours.
“It took a while to get them used to taking the bottle,” Danburg told the local news station ABC 13. “I wanted young goats so that they would really be a part of the family.”
Two days later, on Father’s Day, Danburg went to get more milk for Case and Show, and when she returned, they were gone. Having been in a gated section of the yard, Danburg believes they could not have gotten out themselves, but that someone kidnapped them, ABC 13 reports. The family is especially worried about the goats since they are not yet able to eat solid food.
Danburg’s daughter made flyers and posted them around the neighborhood. Danburg also posted messages on Facebook and other social media platforms in hopes of getting the goats back. A police report has been filed and a $100 reward is available, according to ABC 13.
