A steer out of Greenleaf, Kan., broke the Guinness World Record for widest horn spread just days before the 2016 record book was due to go to print. Big Red 907 had already been named the record holder, when Lazy J’s Bluegrass came in with horns measuring 1.9 inches longer than Big Red’s. Bluegrass’ horns are 9 feet 9.8 inches wide. If you can’t picture how long that might be, think of five washing machines side-by-side. Congratulations to Bluegrass for earning the title and a spot in the 2016 Guinness Book of World Records.
