Autumn Foushée learned all about green woodturning and much more during a visit to the John C. Campbell Folk School. |
There’s free time to explore and instructors give students free rein to manage their projects at their own pace if there is extra time in class—just be sure not to miss any valuable instruction!
The John C. Campbell Folk School offers an unbelievable array of classes, so take the opportunity to explore the courses being offered during the week you’re there.
Beyond the classes, don’t miss group outings and events such as the morning walk—an invigorating start to the day; or morningsong, where you’ll hear storytellers weave a yarn and musicians bring back old-time tunes.
If you’re not a morning person, there’s no shortage of evening activities ranging from demonstrations by instructors to live music and contra dancing in the main hall.
Don’t be afraid to swing your classmates ‘round and ‘round!
