Oyster Cat Treat

If your cat loves seafood, whip up this cat treat made of oysters.

Give your cat an Oyster treat from Hobby Farms she's sure to loveOysters are seafood and most cats love seafood snacks. Try this fun cat treat recipe made of oysters!


  • 1 3.75-ounce can of oysters
  • 6 baby carrots
  • 2 T. tomato paste
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup plain, unseasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. brewer's yeast

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place the oysters, carrots and tomato paste in a food processor or blender and puree until they form a smooth paste.
In a mixing bowl, combine the puree mixture and the remianing ingredients, mixing well.
Drop 1/2 teaspoons of the mixture onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for eight to 12 minutes or until the bottoms of the treats are golden brown.
Remove from the oven, let cool thoroughly and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.Makes about 40 1/2-teaspoon-sized treats

yeast,and brewers yeast are two different things. Many all natural and even vet recommended brands have brewers yeast in them. People can also use it. It is sometimes called nutritional yeast and is very good for your hair/coat in pets and humans. Try it on popcorn sometime! yums!

* my mistake. I remembered wrong. As long as you only feed your pet COOKED yeast dough, it should be fine. Happy Eating :).

Following the aspca's poison guide, I highly recommend against giving your pet a food with yeast. However, the rest of this recipe looks great. LINK
