A Farmhouse Renovation

With a little creativity and a lot of elbow grease, one Connecticut couple re-envisions and reinvigorates a run-down farmhouse.

The Cockerlines still have a spare bedroom and a dressing room that are works in progress.

“We knew that once we moved in, renovations would come to a screeching halt,” Robin admits.

Still, Allen has found time to put up a hand-hewn, rough-board picket fence around a little vegetable and herb garden beside the kitchen door. Allen and his two sons, David and Daniel, built the small “barn” where they sell their eggs and grassfed beef
