I grew up on a small farm nestled in a quiet valley in upstate New York. When I was a little girl, it was my job to gather eggs in the morning. It wasn't until many years later that I was able to have chickens of my own. They are such fascinating creatures and have caught my heart enthusiastically. My career has been extensive, especially in medicine and science. My favorite subjects to teach at local college/university(s) were Nutrition and Anatomy/Physiology. I recognize the importance of knowing what is in my food; therefore, developing an organic treat for chickens encouraged my creativity and desire to share with others.
